Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold is a story of romance and family conflicts set in Colorado in 1885. Anne Wells has embarrassed her rigidly proper family since she was a child with occasional but grievous lapses from ladylike behavior. They blame those lapses for the disgraceful fact that she is a spinster at 28. Cord Bennett, the son of his father's second marriage to a Cheyenne woman, is more than an embarrassment to his well-to-do family of ranchers and lawyers - they are ashamed and afraid of their black sheep. When Anne and Cord are found alone together, her father's fury leads to violence. Cord's family accepts that the fault is his. Can Anne and Cord use the freedom of being condemned for sins they didn't commit to make a life together? Or will their disapproving, interfering families tear them apart?

No Quarter Asked

Dailey, Janet
Open Road Media Romance

Stacy Adams's world collapsed with the sudden death of her father. She had to figure out what she wanted to do with her life now that she was wealthy and alone except for her dog and her horse. The secluded family cabin in a Texas valley seemed a perfect place to think. But when Stacy met the arrogant rancher, Cord Harris, all her hopes of peace and serenity vanished. Especially when Cord said, "Go back to the city, where you belong." It was exactly the wrong thing to say to Stacy. It made her fighting mad-and determined to stay! Janet Dailey wrote No Quarter Asked, her first novel, in 1974 to prove that she could write a better romance novel than the ones she had read. The book was accepted by Harlequin, making her their first American author. She eventually wrote a total of fifty-seven novels for Harlequin, including one set in every state of the Union. Dailey started in the mass market field in 1979 with Touch the Wind, which marked her debut on the New York Times bestseller list.

Janet Dailey's iconic Calder Saga is synonymous with everything readers have come to love in her novels- romance, adventure, and the epic mystique of the Old West. Now America's First Lady of Romance invites readers on a new journey with the first installment in a Calder series spin-off beginning in the late 1800s, as a cowboy named Joe Dollarhide joins the Calder family on one of the first cattle drives from Texas to Montana... The Calder family patriarch is known throughout Montana as a force no one in his right mind would cross. But sometimes love can make a man do crazy things... Ambition drove Joe Dollarhide across the parched plains from Fort Sam Houston to Dodge City. He was determined to one day have a spread every bit as impressive as his employer's. But when a wild stampede separates him from the cattle drive, it's not just survival that keeps him going. Joe has a burning need to settle the score with Benteen Calder, the cattle boss he used to worship. The man who'd left him for dead. Yet he'd soon have something greater than revenge to inspire him... Sarah Foxworth is traveling toward her dream of becoming a doctor when she's attacked by a violent gang. Luckily, Joe is the one to rescue her-and win her heart. Still, she presses on to the future awaiting her on the frontier. But her plans, and her reputation, are ruined when she gives birth to an illegitimate baby... Years later, Sarah reappears in Joe's world-with a son there's no denying is his own. Now a prosperous rancher, Joe yearns to finally build a life with the woman he's never forgotten. Only Joe's own road to riches has been strewn with obstacles, some still standing in his way. But time has also shown him that nothing worth having comes easy. And that Sarah is a woman worth fighting for...

A country boy who hates Christmas for a reason, dammit... When Luke Nash runs into Stetson Miller down at the feed store, he never expects his friend to strong-arm him into spending Christmas at the Miller farm. Luke has no patience for Christmas cheer or Yuletide song. And the rugged cowboy definitely has no desire to kiss a girl under the mistletoe. No matter how infuriatingly pretty she might be. A city girl who loves Christmas... Bonnie Patterson adores Christmas, so when her best friend Jennifer invites her to spend Christmas at the Miller farm, she jumps at the chance. When she sets out for the snowy country town, she has visions dancing in her head of cozy nights by a crackling fire, not of a hot cowboy with an ice-cold heart. The Storm of the Century... Instead of a peaceful holiday in the country, Bonnie gets stranded at the Miller farm by a blizzard. Even worse, she's snowed-in with Luke, an arrogant, impossible, but damn sexy cowboy. When the sparks fly, will two people who are oh-so-different find their own Christmas miracle? Blizzard of Love is the second novella in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. This is a sweeter romance with minimal sex and mild language. Enjoy!

Her Dakota Man (Dakota Hearts)

Mondello, Lisa
Createspace Independent Pub

From USA Today Best Selling Author Lisa Mondello - A new contemporary western romance series DAKOTA HEARTS She needed to risk the truth to get a second chance... Poppy Erickson had spent the year wondering how all their lives might have been different after hearing the deathbed confession of her childhood friend. She'd left South Dakota years ago because she couldn't bear to watch the man she loved loving another woman. But now she knows the truth. She'll keep the promise she made to a friend, but will Logan understand when he learns the truth? More important, can they again recapture the passion that had been between them all those years ago? He needed to face the past to get the love of a woman he thought he'd lost.. Everyone knows that the Dakotas didn't get the name Badlands for nothing. Harsh weather and rough living are a way of life. But single dad, Logan McKinnon, had seen more than his share of bad times after the death of his wife a year ago. The last thing he needs is Poppy Erickson, an old flame and his late wife's best friend, showing up unannounced to help after devastating floods nearly washed away their hometown. With no place to stay in town, he has no choice but to offer her a bed at his house. But can he live under the same roof with a woman he'd once loved passionately without feeling he's betraying his late wife? Excerpt: One look on Logan McKinnon's face told Poppy that his foul mood had very little to do with the devastating destruction all around the Badlands of South Dakota...and everything to do with her showing up in town after nearly ten years. She didn't have to be standing next to him to feel his anger simmering just below the surface of his composure. Sitting in her rental sedan was close enough. What the hell was she thinking coming back home? Why had she made that ridiculous promise to Kelly? She parked the car next to his truck and took a deep breath, mumbling under her breath as she pulled the door handle, "This may just turn out to be the stupidest thing you have ever done, girl." Truth was, even as pissed off as Logan looked, he was still an amazing sight to see. Part of her had hoped that she was wrong. That she'd gotten over him a long time ago. That she'd take one look at him, make sure he and Keith were okay, and be able to get back in her car and drive right to the airport in Rapids City. He turned to her, standing tall and proud. His thick dark hair blew in the March wind, fluttering around his face and making him all the more strikingly handsome. Yep. Stupid. He was taller than she'd remembered, and he'd long since lost that too-lean teenage body that had driven her crazy in her youth. He worked hard on his ranch and it showed in how much his arms and chest had filled with muscles. Despite the cold, he'd taken off his jacket while he worked in the yard and Poppy had a clear view of just how much his male body had filled out in places she'd dreamed of touching. Lord, help her. She was in trouble. And she hadn't even stepped out of the car yet. She pushed the door open and stepped outside to get it over with. It was either going to be the shortest visit on record...or a life changing experience she'd been dreaming of ever since she was a teenager. "Hi, Logan." Logan starred at he for a long, agonizing moment. She read the emotional tug of war playing on his face as the sudden chill from the South Dakota winds bit into her exposed skin like a whipping. Then his expression turned hard. "What the hell are you doing here?"
